Day 5
Good:
- Walked without the walking cast! Just around the house tho.... I don't think it would be smart to test my ankle outside in the winter weather.
- I had this con versation on MSN with my friend sara. It really made my day

- Didn't get any homework done. I have two essays and a presentation due monday... gotta get started!

Random: Downloaded 82 songs today. 82. I guess I didn't realize that I was getting carried away ...
oh and after this whole 8 days thing, I'm only posting if I can find something good to post about. I pinky promise :)

So I have this friend, and all she does is try to one-up everyone else. For instance, if one person is talking about their mother having cancer, she will cut them off and talk about how she has to clean her house all day because her mom is seeing this guy that she doesn't like. If one person does better than her on a test, she will straight-up lie and say she did better, when others can see her mark and know that she is lying. She takes every conversation and turns it around to be about her. It's just really gotten on my nerves this week. I think it get's on everyone elses nerves too because everyone gets this eye-rolling look on their faces when she acts this way. I think this must have something to do with low self-confidence or something, like she has to lie about herself to make herself feel adequate. I really don't know how to help her either because I used to try, and then she would just get worse and lie more and more.

Today I randomly became obsessed with Shania Twain. Like, a 25 song playlist on iTunes, on repeat. No real reason WHY I've become obsessed either haha.

I need to find something to feel strongly about, and then just type my heart away. I'm really getting bored with these 'daily summaries'.

Not much interesting today. My leg throbbed all day (because I can walk on it now, and had to walk around my massive castle of a school) and I had a headache. Nothing good really. Forgot lunch & money so I didn't eat til like 6 (after vball was over). Then I got sick (probably because I was crying & upset).

Everything seems to dawn on me at the end's of the days. I guess I thought once the cast was off I could start getting back into things, and now my mom doesn't want me playing hockey at all, and she is going to talk to my vball coach about me playing something else (not libero, which I love). A 5"3/5"4 girl can't really play anything else but libero. I don't even reach the top of the net when I jump so I obviously can't play front court.... I'm just realizing now that my final year of highschool will blow. I'm not going to have the ankle strength to wear heals to prom, I was basically guaranteed Athlete of the Year this year (since I usually do 5 highschool sports, plus rep soccer and rep hockey). My marks have been slipping since I've been broken. It's not like I'm enjoying senior parties with a broken leg. I'm not risking getting drunk and falling and just making it worse. Fuck.
I got at it with some old woman today too. She came up to me and was like "Oh I would love to have broken a bone as a teenager" and I was like "ya I would rather break a bone when I'm 80" and then she was like "Well you have so much time to heal" so I was like "I'm 17 I had a life, I dont have 2+ months out of my busy life to heal one injury" PLUS, 80 yr old women aren't doing anything anyways... I didn't say that to her tho. But she was like "I can't raise my arm past here" (her shoulder, I think she did something to her collar bone). So I said "Ya well I couldn't walk for 6 weeks and now I can't play sports" and she was all like "well you are only a teenager" so I bit her head off and said "and you're an old lady". I would MUCH rather be old, and have kids and grandkids to help me than be 17 and have such an active life come to a complete stop.

Day Two (good things)
- Went to the Bell store with my mommy :) I'm almost definately getting the LG Voyager.
- I got my cast off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad?
I'm stuck in a walking cast for another month. I'm allowed to take this one off, but if I'm walking anywhere I'm supposed to wear the boot/cast thing.

My leg looks weird to me. Maybe it's because I haven't seen it in 6 weeks. All my calf muscle that I worked hard for has atrophied. If I flex and hit the muscle, it jiggles. Alot. My outside ankle bone-bump is non-existant at the moment. My skin is pretty tight and swollen where all the ligaments are torn, and my inside ankle is still super bruised. My legs are nice and hairy, and oddly enough even my foot is hairy..? Weird. The scar is soo sick tho.

I have ugly feet so if you don't like feet : Dont look!

The left ankle is the broken one. It's so swollen on the outside that you can't see an ankle bone (like you can on the outside of my right foot)

It's been a while.
First, I want to apologize for not being a good 'friend' and reading your journals/commenting on your journals.
Second, I will update a few big things that have happened in the past 4 months :)
My summer was crazy. I probably didn't EVER come on here because I was either too drunk, stoned, or hungover. In saying that, yes, I did throw my summer away to partying, alcohol and drugs. I sort of regret it now. I'm not going to bother with all the stories because quite frankly I completely forget them.
Grade 12 started, I have 3 courses this semester and a spare. University Chem, university English and the compulsary religion course. Basketball started, I was starting point guard and co-captain. yadda yadda yadda. We came second in our region, and then second in northern ontario.
Hockey started up, I hurt my back in a practice (a girl on my team decided to hit full on in practice... not very nice). The next game, I passed out from back pains/migraines. That was like the first week of October. Spent the weekend in the hospital.
Then, October 29th, 2008, in my third game of the season, I broke my fibula. We play against boys, but they arent allowed to hit us. Well this guy did anyways, and the play wasn't even in our end when he did it. I was going one way, he hit me the other, he fell onto me, my leg twisted hardcore, aaand my leg broke. I spent wednesday night in emerge, still in my smelly gear. I wasn't allowed to eat or drink thursday, because I was going into surgury thursday night (they put a steel plate, and five screws). I then spent Halloween weekend in the hospital (fun fun). I'll be getting the cast off December 10th :)
buuttt
one good thing happened in all this mess.
My hockey team went to Pittsburgh this past weekend (thanksgiving weekend in the states)!
I also got to go to a Pens game, my seat was four rows from the glass, right where the penguins come out of their dressing room! That was the best thing ever! I have tons of pics and I dont really feel like putting them on haha. I will gradually get some good ones on. 
Thats all for tonight, I have tons of homework as I'm behind in every class (all those hospital visits add up and you can easily fall behind)

Wow! I have NOT been near a computer in like.. a week! I'm so sorrry for not even trying to come on to comment or anything! I've been sooo busy, with the U18 camp, camping, WONDERLAND! and you know.. the usually summer partying and graduations!

Just a little recap of my week:
1- U18 Camp was AWESOME! There was soo many amazing players that I was blessed to have the opportunity to play with! We get phone calls on the 2nd of July and the top 80 of all three camps are selected for another camp (there was 100 in each camp). I dont think I'll make top 80, but I had a fantastic weekend! I scored 6 goals in regulation, plus 3 in shootouts (for fun at the end of every game), and I had multiple assists. The games were high scoring games so 6 goals isnt toooooo impressive haha! (we won 6-4, 7-2, and lost 10-8 and 8-7).
2- WONDERLAND! If you don't know what it is, its an amusement park that ROCKS. Just google it - Canada's Wonderland. My 3 besties and I drove 4 hrs for the 10am open and stayed til the 10pm close, and drove 4 hrs home. I got BURNT! The sun destroyed my shoulders and my chest haha. I have some nice tanlines from my bathing suit and my two different shirts that day. We went on all the rollercoasters and MOST of the 'thriller' rides, as well as two water rides! The Behemoth just opened this year as well, and its CRAZY! you go up something like 230 ft (higher than Drop ZonE!) and then dropped at a 75 degree angle going like 120 km/hr. Its sooo much fun we went on it 3 times that day. The 2nd time, my brother and his friend got on the round before ours but they got stuck on the way up! I was laughing, but my friends were all worried for my brother. They ended up fixing it and giving the people stuck on the ride free photos, which is pretty cool. If I ever get that pic (its quite funny) I'll post it =]
3- Two of my bestfriends graduated on Wednesday, so we went out for lunch that day and then me and my other gr11 bestie went to their graduation ceremony that night. It was a depressing night. Sara (one of the friends graduating) left the next day for Colorado Springs. Her family moved there last year but she stayed here for hockey and school. Now she is leaving forever and we all had a big sob-fest that night. We drove to the waterfront and just hungout, ate some icecream, took some pictures, drove around screaming music out the window (thats where the name for this journal comes from). I'm going to miss her sooo much! My other friend that is graduating, Jodie, is staying here for university next year so I dont really need to miss her =]
